For last year’s Darko was managing an over 70-strong multidisciplinary production unit shaped around specific subjects: Project Management, eCommerce, Creative Execution, Content, Technology & Executive Production. Apart from IS clients, Darko was also responsible for building and maintaining the cooperation between global and regional Saatchi& Saatchi offices on digital production. Darko’s teams covered a wide range of digital production for IS and Saatchi& Saatchi Clients, such as P&G, Novartis, Toyota, Microsoft, Carrefour, Selgros, Visa, Canal +, Tyskie (SUBMiler) and others.
Currently, Darko is handling a position of Global eCommerce Lead within Global eCommerce Saatchi & Saatchi Leadership Team. His role is to coordinate global engagement between IS and Saatchi & Saatchi hubs in New York, London, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore & Argentina/Mexico.
He joined IS in 2010 as a project manager, leading regional P&G digital projects for Olay & Pampers and later built and managed a 20-strong project management team supporting clients such as P&G, Microsoft, Pepsico, T-Mobile, Toyota, Carlsberg, RedBull, Nestle, Selgros, Carrefour, Tymbark and Hochland.
Prior to joining IS, Darko was working in WEAREVI, a London-based, innovation-driven digital boutique agency, where he lead projects as a Digital Producer & User Experience Designer for Virgin Media, Vauxhall, Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), Secret Cinema, Imperial War Museum, The Professional Footballers’ Association and London Bio Packaging. He also graduated from Multimedia Art at the London-based Middlesex University.
Darko started his digital adventures in 2003, being based out of Malta and cooperating with local agencies and direct clients on digital production for Island media, Heigh Creative, Kinemastik. While still at Malta, he was part of the Playmobil sailboat crew. It allowed him to travel across the Mediterranean and also earned him the title “Sailor and Website Tailor”.
Darko is the proud father of two daughters that completely dominate his life, and still believes he is land sick, hoping to get back to the sea some time again.
